Sometimes happens to be in a rush or to have only canned food in your house. So, how to transform a very simple food in a special dish? Let's cook our simple canned sardines in a different level. Make it healthier, tastier and appetizing.
Canned sardines can be a real treat. This recipe offers sardines cooked with tomatoes and olives, with thyme. A few minutes in the pan and the result is amazing! A quick and easy fish recipe delicious and light is possible, so why not try it? Buon appetito!
INGREDIENTS
2 canned sardines 1 clove garlic 1 onion scallion or onion leaves 300g tomatoes (or more) 100-200g black or green olives 1-2 tablespoons soy sauce thyme as needed 1/2- 1 tablespoon of lemon (or according to your taste) salt and pepper to taste chili flakes or fresh chili (optional)
PREPARATION
Step 1 Saute the garlic until released the aroma. Next the onion saute until soft.
Step 2 Add in the tomatoes and season with salt.Salt highlights the tomatoes sweetness and draw out the water. Cook for 3-5 minutes.
Step 3 Add olive you may use black or green mix well and add fresh or dried thyme this will give a sweet and lemony taste to your food, to enhance the dish. Saute for a couple of minutes.
Step 4 Join the canned sardines I'm using sardines with olive oil but you can also use with tomato sauce. Season with pepper, chili flakes and add soy sauce depending on your taste. Lower the heat and cover with lid. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5 Before turning off the heat add some drops of lemon to lessen the fishy smell. Last, put the onion leaves and scallion.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Serve hot with white rice.
