Italians love to eat these fish cakes as appetizer but I know we, Filipinos, would enjoy these as snacks or even as ulam! They’re super easy to make plus they’re extra healthy.
These tuna patties are so easy to make with very simple ingredients. These are baked but you may also choose to fry them. And the mayo with capers I made as the dip sauce goes perfectly well with these tasty fish patties. Try them as patties for your burgers or as ulam. Yummy!
INGREDIENTS
For the Patties: 300g potatoes 200g canned tuna 115g canned sweet corn or frozen 30g (2tbsp) parsley, cilantro, scallion breadcrumbs salt and pepper
For the dipping Sauce: Yogurt salad dressing, mayonnaise cappers pepper
PREPARATION
Step 1 Mash the boiled and peeled potatoes using a potato masher or fork. Step 2 Put the mashed potatoes in a bowl, and add the tuna, corn, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Step 3 Form 8-10 patties. Put the patties in the breadcrumbs to coat them. Step 4 Transfer them to a baking pan lined with parchment paper. bake in a preheated oven at 200°c for 20 to 30 minutes. Turning them after 15 minutes.
