Days ago I made this Buns for my friend kids and they had a great success, so I decided to share it with you.
These Milk Bread Mini Buns are perfect as snacks and pambaon for your kids, but of course also for you all.
They’re very easy to prepare and perfect with jams, spreads, and marmalades.
DESCRIPTION
This classic European milk bread is like a mini burger bun with the same shape with soft and sweet crust,
but unlike real burger buns, it has a softer texture inside and it’s tasty that is why kids would definitely enjoy this.
So let's get started!!!
INGREDIENTS
120ml milk
175ml water
5g instant dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
400g flour
1 teaspoon salt
50g soft butter

(you can use sunflower or vegetable oil)
PREPARATION
Step 1
In a bowl pour in the milk and water then add the sugar and yeast. Combine well.

Step 2

Add half of the flour. Mix well and add the salt and the remaining flour. Incorporate well to form a soft dough.

Step 3

Add the soft butter. Fold the dough until absorbed the butter into the dough.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.

Step 4

Put it in a greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1 1/2 hours or until doubled in volume.

Step 5

Once doubled in size, flour the counter. Take the bowl and gently press the dough. Transfer to the floured surface and flatten using your hands.

Step 6

Place the dough horizontally and divide it into two. Form each piece into a log.Cut the logs into 11-12 equal parts. Cover with a kitchen towel to avoid drying.

Step 7

Form each piece into a ball and put them in a baking pan lined with parchment paper or you can grease the pan with oil or butter. Arrange the balls in the pan well space from each other.

Step 8

Using a sharp knife or blade, make a cross over each ball but this is optional you can skip this if you want. Cover and rise for about 20 minutes or until doubled in volume. While waiting you can start to preheat the oven to 200°c or 400°f.

Step 9

Brush the balls with milk and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 10

Unload from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack to cool them.
TIPS AND TRICKS
For vegetarian or can’t eat butter you can replace it with sunflower or vegetable oil or any flavorless oil.
